Kiyla was thinking very nasty thoughts as she tried to work her way out of being cornered. Not a good idea for anyone in a fight, to be corned. Especially not a lone female, even if she was a vampire. Everyone has a weakness after all.

 Right jab here, left punch out kick there, it was no use she was surrounded. Her family would laugh at her even more if she couldn't get herself out of this mess. Hello! A vampire who fainted at the sight of blood.  AND couldn't get herself out of a fight with some measly beefed up humans. Such and embarrassment to the family, or so she was constantly reminded of.
 

Last night when I was meant to be sleeping...but wasn't; I came up with and idea to write a 20 page booklet of short stories from the Faerie Alliance world. This way I could test the market before the book launch party on 22 August 2009.

It has been awhile since I posted an entry, I have been busy working in my business, I am in the final stages of editing the whole of Faerie Alliance. I have written 'A simple guide to skincare' with plans to write more 'simple guides'

 The launch date for Faerie Alliance the book is set for 22 August 2009, in Whangarei. I will be selling print version of my book as well as PDF versions of it on CD-Rom and as an email attachment.

Over on another blog that I follow http://www.gardenwallpublications.com/blog/, the topic of going where the money is, was brought up, I agree with this; and we are not saying that you should stop doing what you are doing, but more, to just be open to other opportunities.

Some freelance writers just write, and that is good if it works for them, but if you are like me you will need plenty of variety, and that is why I offer other services. I write for a broad range of projects, but I also copy edit and proofread.

Having written out my writing goals for the year, I have been working hard to uphold them as best I can. Considering one of my goals is concentrate more fully on freelance writing, I have had to become more focused.

I have been actively looking for freelance work via online job search forums, as well as submitting some articles to national magazines.
